JMU SCOM students worked with JMU’s art class to put together a fundraising event to raise awareness for New Directions Center and their mission. New Directions Center is a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting survivors mentally and physically, assisting them to get to safety, offering shelter, helping them become financially independent, and helping them rebuild their lives. 

 

Our group focused on the logistics of the event and were in charge of the set up prior to guests arriving. We accomplished tasks such as setting up the art, refreshment table, as well as welcoming those to the event with any assistance that they needed.
